Good for learning Excel

I grabbed a Microsoft Excel course last month. It was pretty easy to get into, not super complicated. The videos were clear and I felt like I actually learned some new stuff for work. Good overall experience, might get another one soon.

Consistent quality, keeps me coming back

This isn't my first time using GoSkills. I've done a few of their courses, like the Python for Data Science one a while back, and just finished the SQL training. Every time, the quality is pretty consistent. The content is well-structured and the practice exercises really help things stick. I appreciate that they update their courses too, it feels current. That's why I keep returning when I need to pick up a new skill for my job.

Loved the Power BI course!

Oh my gosh, the Power BI training was fantastic! I learned so much, way more than I expected. The lessons were easy to follow and the examples made total sense. I've been wanting to learn this for ages and GoSkills made it so simple. I'm already looking at what other courses I can take. Seriously, I'm telling everyone at work about this platform, it's really good!

Solid value for team training

We signed up for the team LMS platform to get our staff up to speed on Microsoft Office 365. The setup process was fairly smooth, and getting everyone enrolled was easy enough. We had a couple of small questions during the initial rollout, and customer support responded within a day which was good. The courses themselves are well-made and the certificates of completion are a nice touch for tracking progress. It's a significant investment for a team, but the content quality and ease of administration make it a pretty solid value compared to other options we looked at. Our team members found the interface intuitive and the gamification features kept them engaged. Definitely a good choice for corporate training.

Decent courses, some UI quirks

I got the Project Management course recently. The content itself was solid and the instructor knew their stuff, which was great. Delivery was instant, obviously, being online. The platform worked fine for the most part, but I did find the navigation a little clunky sometimes when trying to jump between modules. Not a huge deal, but it could be smoother. Value for money was fair though, no complaints there.

How does GoSkills stack up against, say, Udemy or LinkedIn Learning? I've used both of those before.

P Paul Johnson 1 month ago
I found GoSkills more focused on business skills and certifications, which is what I needed. Udemy is a bit of a free-for-all sometimes. LinkedIn Learning is good too, but I liked the GoSkills interface better.

GoSkills courses feel a bit more structured and 'official' if that makes sense. Like, if you need a certificate for work, theirs seem to carry more weight than some random Udemy course.

I'm a student, trying to pick up some coding skills. Do they have any student discounts or anything like that?

J James S. 3 weeks ago
Yep, they do have a student discount! I remember seeing it mentioned on their site. You usually have to verify your student status.

Check their FAQs or look for a promo code section. Most places like this offer something for students.

Hey, does anyone know if GoSkills ever does sales? Looking at the Lean Six Sigma course but trying to save some bucks.

W William Hill 1 month ago
They definitely do! Keep an eye out around Black Friday and Cyber Monday, that's when I usually see their best deals. They also do stuff in Jan and Sept sometimes.

You can usually get a good discount if you go for an annual plan instead of monthly, I think it's like 30-50% off that way. Worth checking out the free trial first though.

Can you actually download the course materials or watch stuff offline? My internet can be spotty.

T Thomas Lewis 2 days ago
Nah, I don't think you can download them. You need to be online to access the courses.

Pretty sure it's all streaming. Might be tough if your connection isn't reliable.

Thinking of signing up for a couple of the Excel courses. Is this place legit? Like, are the certificates actually worth anything or just for show?

M Michelle Lee 3 weeks ago
Yeah, they're legit. I used their Project Management course for my PMP prep and it was solid. The certificates are accredited, which is a big plus.

K Kevin Robinson 3 weeks ago
They say their courses are CPD accredited, so that should mean something. I've seen them mentioned in a few 'best online learning' lists too.
